Voice settings

All speech is requested from this device straight to the platform you pick, so the server never sees the brief. By default it uses free Azure voices, with nothing to set up.

Settings → Voice runs top to bottom: report language → platform → the platform’s settings → model → voice → speed → test synthesis.

The report language sets the language a brief is written and spoken in, whatever language the report itself is in. Answers during a call use it too.

  • 90 languages and regions, such as Taiwan Chinese or Mexican Spanish.
  • Follows the system by default.
  • Changes sync to the daemon on your computer and apply to the next brief.

Pick from the list. Each platform keeps its own settings, so switching never loses a key or voice you already set.

  • Voice: grouped into female and male, shown by name rather than code. Platforms with cloned voices (MiniMax, Doubao, ElevenLabs, and more) take your own voice id, or load the voices in your account.
  • Speed: a 0.5×–2× slider, clamped to each platform’s range. Platforms without speed control say so under the slider.
  • Test synthesis: speaks one sentence with the settings on screen, without saving. On failure it shows what the endpoint returned.
